Murrysville Medic One responded to a two car MVC at the intersection of Logan Ferry Road and Route 380. Patients were transported to local hospitals for evaluation.

Murrysville Medic One crews participated in a structural burn practice session which was sponsored by Sardis Fire Dept., ESU Team members provided rehab to the workers.

Murrysville Medic One responded to the intersection of Route 286 & Route 380 for a two-car MVC. No serious injuries were reported

Murrysville Medic One's ESU team participated in an Structural Collapse class which was sponsored by Sardis Fire Dept.. Support 610 provided rehab to the rescue workers and Medic 613 provide medical support.



STRUCTURE FIRE

May 1, 2007

Main Street, Slickville

Support 610, 610-1, and 610-3 responded to Main Street, Slickville to provide support and rehab to area fire departments while working a fatal structural fire. Canopy tents with 3 mister fans along with hydrating equipment were deployed for firefighter and rescue worker rehab. The inflatable shelter with air conditioning units were deployed to provide housing and privacy to family members.

Murrysville Medic One (Support 610, 610-1, and 610-3), Mutual Aid Ambulance Service, Fire Departments from: Slickville, Forbes Road, Bell Twp., Oklahoma, White Valley, Sardis, Saltsburg, Delmont, Export, Westmoreland County Haz Mat / RIT Team 800, Pennsylvania State Police, Westmoreland County Coroner's Office, and the Salvation Army.

April 25, 2007

U.S. Route 22

Murrysville Medic One Responded to Route 22 near Rick's Sports Bar for a reported MVC involving 6 vehicles and explosion. The fire arriving units were on-scene quickly due to another vehicle fire within a short distance. The first arriving units reported heavy fire with entrapment. Dispite the quick response of the rescue workers, 1 fatality was reported, 2 other injured motorist were transported to area hospitals. MM1 crews provided medical support and rehab to the fire departments and Haz Mat crews.

Bollinger Road and Hilty Road

Responded to a one-car vs. tree accident near the intersection of Bollinger Rd and Hilty Rd. 2-Patients were entrapped, 1-ejected into a creek, and 2-self extricated. 5-patients were flown to area trauma centers
