Murrysville Medic One utilizes 5 Advanced Life Support Ambulances. These ambulances carry equipment to provide advanced medical treatment.
Advanced Medical Treatment:
- Defibrillation - providing an electrical charge to return you heart rhythm to one needed to sustain life.
- Intubation - An advanced airway technique were a tube is placed in your airway to provide oxygen to the lungs.
- Medication Administration - The ability to administer life saving medications
Medic 611—2003 Osage / Ford E350 Type II Ambulance. Equipped for Advanced Life Support.
Medic 612— Ford E350 4x4 AEV Ambulance. This unit is equipped as an Advanced Life Support unit. This unit is also equipped as a Bariatric transport unit with the Ferno LBS stretcher. Also found on this unit is Mass Casualty equipment. Placed in-service January 2007.
Medic 613-- 2003 Osage / Ford E350 Type II Ambulance. Equipped for Advanced Life Support.
Medic 614—2005 Osage / Ford E350 Type II Ambulance. Equipped for Advanced Life Support.
Medic 615—2007 Osage / Ford E350 Type II Ambulance. Equipped for Advanced Life Support. This unit is primarily used as a back-up unit and for non-emergency scheduled basic life support transports.
Medic 616—2006 Osage Type II Ambulance. Equipped for Advanced Life Support.
